AI Girlfriend With No Sign Up: What Actually Works

Can you use an AI girlfriend with no sign up?

Only partly. Browsing characters without an account is common, but I could not confirm a single adult AI girlfriend app that lets you send messages logged out. OurDream says no account is needed to begin, yet its own terms require one for chatting, and Candy AI’s terms cap free users at 5 messages.

I read each app’s terms, help center and public pages. I have paid accounts at Candy AI and OurDream AI (about three months each, see how I test), but I did not test sending a message logged out on either, so I report what the pages say. Every other app here is untested.

Which AI girlfriend apps work with no sign up, no login or no sign in?

None that I could verify let a logged-out visitor send a message. Five of the ten apps below let you browse characters without an account. The rest blocked my checks or left the question open, so the table marks every gap instead of guessing.

CrushOn.AI returned a challenge page to my check as well, and third-party guides disagree on its free limit, so I repeat none of them.

Does OurDream let you chat with no account?

OurDream says yes in its marketing and no in its terms. The chat page says no account is needed to begin, but the acceptable use terms say an account is required for chatting, generating and publishing. Treat the no-account line as a first look at public characters, then expect a sign-up wall.

The chat page reads: “Explore characters crafted by our community. Find someone who catches your eye and dive into a chat - no account needed to begin.” The acceptable use terms say the service may be browsed without an account, and that creating one is required for chatting, generating, publishing and all other interactive features.

One third-party review claims a free account gets 55 one-time coins and a 5-message cap per character. That is not on OurDream’s official pages, and the help center says it offers no free dreamcoins, so I do not plan around it.

Can you try Candy AI with no login?

Candy AI shows a message box to logged-out visitors, but I did not send a message, so I cannot confirm it works without an account. What its terms do confirm is the cap: a free user can generally send a maximum of 5 messages to AI characters, and further use needs a subscription.

On a character page the box reads “Write a message…”, and the header shows “Create Free Account” and “Login”. The page source also carries a guest user type flag, which is an analytics tag and not proof that guests can chat.

EverAI Limited, the Malta company that operates Candy, says in its terms that a subscription adds unlimited text messaging plus monthly tokens, generally 100 a month.

What do Joi, SpicyChat, Nomi and Janitor AI give you for free?

All four have a free route, but none is a verified no-account chat. Joi’s terms describe a limited free Basic tier, SpicyChat has a free tier with ads, Nomi says it is free to start with no credit card, and Janitor AI’s help center says free chats are unlimited with about 9k tokens of context.

Joi AI. Basic can be denied at any time, and the free limits are not published. It is a free tier you register for.

SpicyChat. Its cheapest paid tier removes ads and gives 4K context, so the free tier has ads. Exact free message limits are not in the docs I read.

Nomi. Its homepage says “It’s free (no credit card required) to start chatting”. That is a statement about cards, and sign-up is still implied.

Janitor AI. A token is a chunk of text, and the context window is how many tokens the model can read in one prompt. Janitor’s free tier has about 9k, and the paid Janitor+ tier lists 5x, which is about 45k by simple multiplication.

Kupid AI. The figures are third party because the site is geo-blocked from my network. Roborhythms reports 15 free messages, or 50 after verifying an email, which makes the email worth 35 extra messages.

Why do AI girlfriend apps require an account?

Three things sit behind the sign-up form: age checks, payments and memory. Laws in the UK and many US states push adult sites toward stronger age checks than a tick box, card networks set rules for adult content sellers, and a companion that remembers you needs a store attached to someone.

What do age verification laws require?

In the UK, Ofcom’s guidance under the Online Safety Act says services that allow porn need “highly effective age assurance”. Methods named include photo-ID matching, facial age estimation, a credit card check, open banking, mobile operator checks and digital ID. Self-declaration does not count, per secondary reports of the guidance.

In the US, the Supreme Court upheld Texas HB 1181 by 6-3 in 2025 in Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton, according to the EFF. Bloomberg Government counts 24 states with porn age verification laws. Whether AI companion sites fall under those statutes is unverified.

Enforcement is real. Captain Compliance reports that Ofcom opened an investigation into an AI companion chatbot service operated by Novi Ltd. Joi’s terms name Novi Limited as its operator, and I have not confirmed which product the investigation covers. Italy’s data regulator fined Luka Inc, the maker of Replika, EUR 5 million in 2025 for no valid legal basis for processing and ineffective age verification.

Do companion chatbot laws matter?

California SB 243 took effect in 2026. Skadden’s summary lists a clear AI notice where a reasonable person could think the bot is human, published suicide and self-harm protocols, and for minors a break reminder at least every 3 hours. It carries a private right of action of at least $1,000 per violation.

New York’s companion law took effect in 2025. According to the governor’s office, operators must refer users at risk of self-harm to crisis services and tell them they are talking to an AI at the start and every three hours.

Whether either law reaches adult NSFW companions beyond its minor-specific duties needs a statute or counsel check. Nomi, for one, publishes a page on its crisis-resource protocol for California users.

What do payment rules add?

Card networks add their own layer. Fox Business reported that Mastercard requires banks to certify adult sellers, with documented consent and age and identity checks for people depicted and uploaders, plus a complaint process. OurDream’s help center says it keeps its filter strict to comply with its third-party payment providers.

Ofcom’s list also names a credit card check as an age method, so a card payment can double as an age signal.

Memory is the fourth reason. A vendor blog from Mem0 says a model cannot store memories about the user across conversations without an added store. My reading is that a saved history needs an account to attach to.

Is it safer to use an AI girlfriend with no account?

Not automatically. An account links an email to your chats, and breaches show why that matters: the Muah.ai leak paired 1.9 million email addresses with prompts. But a no-account app still sees your IP address and device, and the Chattee Chat leak exposed exactly those, without names or emails.

Have I Been Pwned lists the Muah.ai breach from 2024 as 1.9 million email addresses alongside prompts to generate AI images. Its data classes are AI prompts, email addresses and sexual fetishes, and it is marked sensitive.

The Chattee Chat and GiMe Chat exposure was an unprotected Kafka broker that leaked 43 million messages and over 600,000 images and videos from more than 400,000 users, per Malwarebytes, citing Cybernews. No names or emails were exposed, but IP addresses and device IDs were.

Mozilla’s Privacy Not Included review of 11 romantic chatbots gave all 11 a warning label. As reported by Infosecurity Magazine, 90% sold data, shared it for ads or had vague policies, and 54% blocked data deletion.

The real choice is how much identifying data each step hands over, and what the operator says it does with it.

How do you try an AI girlfriend with the least personal data?

Browse first, register last, and give each step the minimum. Use a separate email, no real name, a home-screen web app instead of a store download, and read the training clause before your first chat. Pay only after you have checked the refund window, which can be as short as 24 hours.

1. Browse logged out. Open character pages first. OurDream and Joi ask only for an age tick box, and Candy’s character pages opened logged out.
2. Make a separate email. Pick an address with no real name that you still control. OurDream’s refund route asks for your account email, and Candy’s refund window is 24 hours from payment.
3. Keep real details out of chat. No real name, workplace or city in your profile or backstory.
4. Use the web app. OurDream says it has no standalone mobile app and suggests adding it to your home screen. That is a PWA, or progressive web app: a website that installs like an app.
5. Read the training clause. Candy’s privacy policy says data is used to train and develop its AI models, with human review of de-identified interactions. OurDream’s privacy policy lists training AI models among its purposes and says it will not sell your chats.
6. Choose how you pay. Candy takes credit card and Pay by Bank, and refunds only card purchases. OurDream takes cards and crypto, but crypto payments are final and non-refundable. On my Candy plan the charge appeared as EverAI.
7. Watch the renewal. From my three months on Candy: check the subscription date, because intro and renewal pricing can differ. OurDream’s annual plan is paid upfront, so keep the receipts.

How do you delete an AI girlfriend account?

On OurDream, deletion is a button: open your profile, scroll to the danger zone and choose delete my account. On Candy AI, the documents show no in-app steps, and the privacy notice says you request erasure. Cancelling a subscription is a separate action from deleting your data on both.

Cancelling is separate. OurDream’s route is profile, Cancel subscription, confirm, with access kept to period end. Candy’s is Settings, Unsubscribe, with the plan staying active to the end of the billing period.

What do you get on OurDream without paying, and what does Candy’s free limit cover?

Without paying you get a first look at both. OurDream’s help center says free chats cost 1 coin each, with no free coins and no image or video generation. Candy AI’s terms give free users a maximum of 5 messages. Paying removes the cap on text: on my Candy plan, text chat was unlimited.

Here is what those numbers mean. 100 Candy tokens at 3 tokens a minute is about 33 minutes of voice calls. 1,000 OurDream coins at 50 coins a minute is 20 minutes, or ten 5-second videos at 100 coins each.

On my own plans, Candy’s 100 monthly tokens went quickly once I generated images, videos or used voice, and OurDream’s coins burned fast on voice and video. That is a reason not to judge either app by its free tier. My Candy AI vs OurDream AI comparison puts the two side by side.

Which no sign up option should you try first?

OurDream is the only app here that says in its own words you can start a chat without an account, so try it first if you want a look before giving an email. Expect a coin or subscription wall fast. If you are willing to register, Candy’s 5 free messages or Joi’s free Basic tier are the next stops.
